We do as it says on the tin. We conduct 1 hour Historical Tours in our own unique style. This company is a family enterprise operated by Edinburgh locals with a passion for History, we are not a commercially run company but a small independently owned business that has its fingers on the pulse of Scotland's ever-changing cultural and political landscape. This tour is perfect for fans of the Starz Outlander Series now streaming on Amazon Prime and is a favourite amongst Scottish Nationals too as it delves deep into Jacobite History and covers the events that changed this country forever. You will learn the reason for three famous uprisings, hear tales of bravery and defiance in the face of oppression by outside forces. You will hear the songs and the stories of the people who forged this great nation and provided the inspiration behind the books by author Diana Gabaldon. We will talk about an infamous prison where Jacobites were incarcerated and hung, the Tollbooth. We will pass Parliament house, see the Writer's Museum, walk Victoria Street to the Grassmarket, a place of execution and see the covenanter's memorial and walk up to Greyfriars cemetery where we will continue sharing stories of botched hangings, graverobbers, serial killers and meet the most famous dog in the world, Greyfriars Bobby. We Start at St Giles Cathedral, where you will meet your costumed guide in front of the large Gothic Cathedral approximately 10 - 5 minutes before the tour is about to start. We will walk through Edinburgh's Historic Old Town and pass by iconic Landmarks such as the Writer's Museum, Johnston Terrace, Victoria Street, the Grassmarket, Greyfriar's Cemetery, The Cowgate, Hunter's Square and the South Bridge
